Limited Company Checklist
THE FIRST 22 MONTHS!
If you have a Limited company or need one to trade though for whatever reason, the first accounts will be due at Companies House 22 months to the day after its incorporation. In between there are numerous matters which you must consider. After completing the questions, you can send the form to us by filling in your e-mail address and clicking 'submit' so we can contact you to advise what needs to be done. Alternatively use the form as a personal check against your Company set-up and contact the relevant Stephen Hill Partnership staff at the bottom of the page.

Do you require a Limited company to trade through? (Off the shelf companies are available to trade through immediately, companies formed specially for you take about 10 days)	Yes	No

Have you informed the Inland Revenue that you have started a business?	Yes	No

Have you been advised whether it might be in your interests to register for VAT?	Yes	No
Do you need to set up a PAYE scheme for directors and employees?	Yes	No
Do you use a car for business travel?	Yes	No
Have you been advised on the accounting records you need to keep?	Yes	No
Have you drawn money from the company that was not after the deduction of tax?	Yes	No
Have you been advised on the most tax efficient way of removing funds from the company for your personal needs?	Yes	No
Do you need advice on pension planning?	Yes	No
Have you informed Companies House of your company's year end (if you do not want the one allocated to you)?	Yes	No
Have you passed the company's year end but not completed accounts?	Yes	No
Have you received (but not completed) a Pay and File Corporation Tax Return for your company?	Yes	No
